An Evening of Tarot and Cartomancy

My friend Andy Morgan mesmerized the crowd with captivating stories and insightful readings at An Evening of Tarot last night at the Lyric Hall Theater in New Haven, Connecticut. Of course playing cards are much older than Tarot and it was fun for me to demonstrate why they were the most popular kind of readings for centuries.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a special evening! I had everyone simply think of a playing card. The delightful woman pictured here is clearly an icon of strength and organization, someone who not only has razor sharp ideas but the organization and skills to manifest them in the world. It's no wonder that I knew she was thinking of the Ace of Spades!

Cartomancy in Albuquerque

I visited Albuquerque, NM for the first time attending the annual Psychic Entertainer's Association's annual Meeting of the Minds. It's an opportunity for mentailists from around the world to get together and exchange ideas and drink. Since we are all professional entertainers we naturally also have to put on a show for the public. I had a blast demonstrating why I am called, "King of Cartomancy"!

Labor Day Spirits and Magic in New Haven

Excited to be in New Haven, Connecticut over Labor Day weekend performing "Spirits & Magic" with the amazing Andy Morgan at Lyric Hall. This will be a fun show of mind reading, bizarre magic and we will even attempt to contact the spirits of the theater! What a great way to celebrate the holiday. Join us!

The Woman Who Saw All comes to Washington, DC!

The Woman Who Saw All

I am thrilled to be producing "The Woman Who Saw All" at The Writer's Center in Bethesda, Maryland, on Friday, March 30, and Saturday, April 1, 2023. This extraordinary production is written and performed by my friend, the talented magician and tarot card reader, Andy Morgan.

"The Woman Who Saw All" unveils the remarkable story of Mamie Bell Johnson, an Appalachian Psychic and Spiritualist, skillfully narrated through the perspective of her grandson, magician Andy Morgan. By reimagining his grandmother's personal experiences and enthralling public séances, Morgan takes his audience on a mesmerizing journey into the world of Spiritualism and the Occult during the 1920s. Prepare to be immersed in the profound life and enduring legacy of Mamie Bell Johnson—a woman who possessed the remarkable ability to truly see all.

Join us for what is guaranteed to be an enchanting and magical show!

Join Us at “Le Bal des Revenants” (the Spirit Ball)

I'm delighted to be joining fellow performers Andy Morgan, Joe Cabral, and Joshua Bruneau in presenting “Le Bal des Revenants” (the Spirit Ball) at the Stanley-Whitman House museum in Farmington, Connecticut on Friday and Saturday, October 29th & 30th and Friday and Saturday, November 5th and 6th, 2021.

It is a show about "reconnecting" which will let audience members reconnect to the past, to the present and to the future.

Many in our communities were isolated from friends, from family and from colleagues during the pandemic. Now that restrictions are lifting we are all adjusting to the new ways in which we will resume our daily lives.

This show is designed to let the audience members celebrate the what lies ahead - a returning to our world - a new world that has changed in so many ways. Audience members will experience three miniature performance pieces set in different rooms of the Stanley Whitman House.

These performances are designed to help people re-capture a sense of mystery and wonder that we can experience. I felt the Stanley Whitman House was the perfect place for a celebration of reconnecting after the pandemic.

Over the years of its existence, it has been many things to many people: a home, a refuge, a place to learn about the past and present as well as a place where through art and music people can experience a sense of community.

It is my wish that those who attend Le Bal des Revenants leave with a renewed sense of wonder feeling of connection. I look forward to seeing you there!

Tickets are available here.

Wearing Tin Foil Hats Will Not Stop Michael Jons From Reading Your Mind!

I'm so happy that somebody in the lighting booth managed to take a picture of the audience getting seated at my show at the Tawas Bay Playhouse.

I walked out on stage at the start of the show only to see two gentlemen in the third row with thier heads wrapped in tin foil! They were hoping that thier tin foil hats would prevent me from hacking into thier heads during the show. I love these guys!

Of course, I HAD to call on them first. I can now confidently report that wearing a tin foil hat to my show will NOT prevent Michael Jons from reading your thoughts.

MICHAEL JONS LIVE - MORE THAN MIND GAMES! Comes to Tawas Bay Playhouse.

Michael Jons LIVE at Tawas Bay Playhouse

I'm reallly thrilled to be returning to the Tawas Bay Playhouse in East Tawas this July with my fun and amazing new show "Michael Jons LIVE - More than Mind Games!"

The benefit performances on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27 celebrate the 40th Anniversary season of the Tawas Bay Players and supports their work in creating and promoting the arts in the community.

This is the third year the I will performing at the Tawas Bay Playhouse. I grew up spending all my summers in Tawas. As a kid, I used to perform shows for neighbors on the beach with the seawall as my stage. I love that I can keep that tradition alive all these years later and support the Tawas Bay Players!

This years show features all new, never before seen feats of amazement. I challenge myself to come up with an entirely new show for Tawas audiences every year. This year is no exception. I have to admit that it's a bit scary, but also exciting, to try out new material in front of audiences for the first time. You never know what's going to happen! This year's show is inspired by the games that my family played during our summers on the beach.

Come see what audiences have described as, "A mind-bending, gasp-inducing bucket of fun!" The show is intended for adults but appropriate for audiences of all ages.

Tickets for the 7:00PM performances on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27, 2019 are available online at MichaelJons.com and at the Tawas Bay Playhouse box office.
